6 Aluminum Extrusion Products an Indonesia Factory Can Manufacture

The first question in any extrusion enquiry is whether an existing die already covers the shape. Custom tooling is worth funding when a profile will run for years, but for most industrial work a catalog section is close enough that the difference disappears in fabrication. That is why buyers start by reviewing what Indonesia extruded aluminum manufactures already hold in their die library before commissioning anything new. The process behind those dies does the heavy lifting: a heated billet pushed through a shaped steel opening emerges with its final cross-section formed, including cavities and fins that steel would need welding to produce.

PT Exalum Metal Indo runs its extrusion plant in Tangerang, Indonesia, serving industrial and architectural buyers in domestic and export markets. The range of Exalummetal industrial aluminum products is indexed by section number, a fixed profile that reproduces the same dimensions on every order, which keeps parts interchangeable between production batches. These are the explanations of six profiles that account for most of what the factory manufactures for industry.

1. Flat Bar

Flat bar is the general-purpose stock cut into straps, spacers, machine bases, and structural reinforcement. Section 10023 is 12.7 mm by 0.90 mm at 0.031 kg per metre, and section 10201 is a heavy 100 mm by 6 mm with a 1.00 mm radius, 1.624 kg per metre. Widths run from 10 mm to 100 mm and thicknesses from 1.5 mm to 12 mm across the catalog, which covers most bracket and base plate work without a custom die.

2. Rectangular Hollow

Rectangular hollow section resists torsional twist across its full enclosed area, suiting gates, canopy frames, machine guarding, and furniture structures. Section 45082 is 23.50 by 12.40 mm in a 0.80 mm wall at 0.150 kg per metre, and section 45144 is far stronger at 40 by 20 mm in a 3.00 mm wall, 0.877 kg per metre. Both are extruded through a porthole die, closing the box without a weld seam anywhere along the length.

3. Conveyor Profile

Conveyor profile, listed as T-slot extrusion in North American drawings, is a modular rail fastened with T-nuts rather than welded. Section 70440 is a single-slot rail at 1.35 mm wall, 1.184 kg per metre, and section 70015 is a double-slot rail at 2.50 mm wall, 1.764 kg per metre. Custom slot placement and hybrid profiles are available where a standard rail does not match the mounting layout.

4. Equal Angle

Equal angle stiffens corners and protects edges in framing, guarding, shelving, and architectural junctions. Section 20018 is a light 9.50 mm leg at 0.80 mm wall, 0.040 kg per metre, and section 20046 carries a 19 mm leg at 1.20 mm wall, 0.120 kg per metre. Stock sizes reach 100 by 100 mm with walls up to 6.0 mm, so heavier bracing usually sits inside the catalog rather than outside it.

5. Heatsink

Heatsink profiles manage thermal load in power electronics, LED housings, computer hardware, and 5G base stations. Section 96007 runs a 1.00 mm wall at 0.277 kg per metre, and section 96002 is heavier at 1.20 mm wall, 1.021 kg per metre. Where a standard fin pattern falls short, fin geometry and post-extrusion machining can both be specified. Section dimensions are published on the Exalum product pages.

6. Unequal Channel

Unequal channel retains panel edges while guiding movement on one axis, working as track for partitions, cabinet doors, and glazed screens. Section 31021 is compact at a 15.20 mm web and 9.10 mm flange in a 1.00 mm wall, 0.085 kg per metre. Flange heights are specified independently per side in custom work, which is often the simplest way to match an existing panel thickness without redesigning the assembly.

Standard sections handle the majority of industrial requirements, and where they do not, a custom die extends the same catalog logic rather than replacing it. Selection depends on load, orientation, fabrication method, and finish.

Requesting a Quotation

For aluminum extrusion profiles in production quantities, Exalum Metal supplies volume orders from Indonesia to the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, and other industrial markets. Send your profile drawing or section number, required cut lengths, estimated order volume, and finishing specification such as anodizing or powder coating to inquiry@exalummetal.com or WhatsApp +62 811 9429 970. Custom die development is available where the catalog does not cover the shape.
