Product Innovation Manager – London

We are looking for a Product Innovation Manager who has experience in end-to-end product development with a huge focus on concept development and ideation – we are looking for someone with amazing stakeholder management skills and the ability to look into the market and come up with and validate new product ideas. Our client is based in Central London and operate a hybrid working model, with 2 days a week in the office and 3 days working from home – they have a portfolio of both mature products and new products yet to be launched.

This is a brand new role reporting into the Head of Marketing and Product, and will collaborate heavily with other key stakeholders in the business including marketing, technology, operations and data, finance, research and public sector teams. Our client is a leading service provider to the publishing industry and serve a huge customer base – therefore this role will be crucial in understanding the needs of that customer base and delivering commercial business cases.

We will be looking for the following skills and attributes:

• Commercial mindset
• Innovative approach to product development from ideation to delivery
• experience in developing products for specific markets, ideally Higher Education, Corporate or Public Sector and in working with the market and customers directly to inform development
• Proven experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle
• Strong planning and organisational skills
• Curiosity with excellent analytical, research and problem solving skills
• Experience in managing product budgets
• Experience of writing product requirements easily understood by IT teams and developers
• Experience in communicating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve product objectives and strategies
• Able to adapt communication style with excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Able to work independently and on own initiative
